The Leftover Tape

Atlanta is  highly represented in the rap industry because it is the mecca in the South even now more than ever. The newly released XXL freshman class has three out of ten Atlanta natives. Every year Atl has one or more artist to make the cover nowadays. The Southern sound is being spread through out the industry. I would have never guess Fetty Wap was from Jersey when I first heard Trap Queen. The Southern sound is the wave of the industry right now.

Welcome to the new Atlanta where they’re beats that make you want to turn up and lyrics that are catchy , but make no sense at all. What happened to the Southern Slang with substance and actually barz that makes you want to rewind the track. What happened to when the production was just as cold as the lyrics. I guess all that was leftover.

Indie Artist Kyle Clow recently released The Leftover Tape where you can find the cold productions and that southern slang with actual lyricism and substance. You can feel and actually see the struggle and the hustle. You’ll can have that new Atlanta BS, I’ll take the leftovers.
